Yours in healthy meals, Shana & Lia

Real Food Kitchens started in 2014 by two moms that care about the health of their families and communities.

We are committed to providing healthy, nutritious and convenient meals and foods with ingredients sourced direct from farms, local producers and cooperatives. Our food is made from scratch, contains no additives or preservatives and is full of nutrients.

Real Food Markets, local food & prepared meals was born of a need to distribute our meals direct to our customers and continue with our high-quality ingredients without having to increase our retail prices.  During the development of the store, other local food purveyors that create amazing handmade, artisanal foods joined on as Collective Members; meaning we share some of the costs, all take a measured risk and sell our Hamilton-made food to you!

We hope you stop by the market soon:)

Lia Bunting – With an educational background in holistic nutrition and a passion for food and cooking, she has spent over 10 years teaching others about food through cooking classes and workshops. Now, as a Caterer and recipe developer, she is able to share her love of food by providing meals to families that are delicious but also contain ingredients that are whole, organic, fresh and sustainable.

Shana Narciso - As a sustainable food advocate, my passion has always been food - the food system, nutrition and community health and now I am finally back at it! With my brood of children and my husband who is co-owner of Plan B Organic Farms, I set out to work with and support busy families in eating food that is nutritious but is also responsibly sourced from sustainable food systems such as co-ops and farms. I am a founding member of The Kitchen Collective Co-operative, a new non-profit co-operative commercial kitchen and retail shop opening in 2016 in central Hamilton.

Through Real Food Market & Kitchen, I want to bring communities together to learn where their food is from and to bring families to their dining tables, all the while nurturing a sustainable food system!
